Warning about cheating in online assessments

Online assessments, such as this competency, provide opportunities for some clinicians to cheat. Cheating in this situation includes:

  • asking and/or paying other staff to complete online assessments on your behalf
  • printing ‘cheat sheets’ and making these available to other staff, or
  • using cheat sheets provided by other staff.

Cheating in eLearning courses is likely to be viewed as unprofessional conduct by your colleagues, your employer, and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Of greater concern is that cheating in online assessments puts patients at risk.

This competency must be undertaken by yourself without assistance from others or cheat sheets.
